Project 1 - Tablinium

The Tablinium task was to design a sleeping/working enclosure for 1 person within the Waterfront Atrium using a limited amount of materials. Minimum space was also a major factor in the design of Tablinium. The space was to comfortably house all the relevant functions that have to be performed. My design was situated opposite the library making full use of the existing characteristics (long bench). The bench was used as a bed while the study area was hanging over the edge of the floor level. The space is private as well as inspiring. It was a simple design that practically addressed the constraints while also challenging the normal desk and study configuration.
